About dog moda
The idea to create beautiful yet functional collars was born out of our frustration. No matter where we looked, we could not find a wide hound collar that was both soft, beautiful and stylish, but also practical enough to be used every day by our two Afghan Hounds. After five long years of searching all over Europe, we decided to try our hand at designing and making our own collars. And so Dog Moda was born in 2006.
Our vision & business mission
Our mission is to design, make and bring our customers high-quality functional sighthound collars at an affordable and reasonable price. Collars that are pretty to look at, soft and gentle on the hound’s neck yet are strong enough to withstand the abuse of daily walks and doggy fun in the park.
All our padded hound collars are handmade from the highest quality materials and are lined with soft Italian leather or goatskin for your hound's ultimate comfort. We are constantly working on expanding and updating our range of collars and matching leads and are happy to listen to all feedback from our customers. We can provide bespoke design service to satisfy any desire or idea you might have - collars and leather accessories can be designed and made to your own specifications - just get in touch with us!
Finally, we only sell products we think exceptional and we take pride in testing ALL our products ourselves, assisted by a team of our in-house testers. We hope to regularly add new and exciting products to our offering, so do bookmark our site!
Humans behind Dog Moda
Dog Moda is a small family run business. We are two human dog fanatics - Masha and Victor, who found that making these functional hound collars and accessories has fulfilled our passion for design. We had much fun designing, testing and making our products - we hope you and your hounds will have as much fun when using them!
Canines of Dog Moda
Our two resident Afghan Hounds Doushman and Kazbek are not only the inspiration behind our products, but are both actively involved in running the company in a number of key roles. Both boys are the first to test all our new collars and leads. They model and promote our products, Doushman being the professional who has appeared on TV, in magazines and in films. Kazbek takes great pride in his self-imposed role as our guard dog. But, most importantly, they keep us fit, sane and put smiles on our faces every day!
